Rene Kantehm started his professional career in 2002 as an analyst in corporate finance at IKB Deutsche Industriebank. He later lead the Investor Relations department. In 2008, he moved to Westdeutsche Landesbank as Director Capital Markets.

From 2010, as CFO and Managing Partner, he builds up MIMOon, an IT company in Duisburg financed by venture capital and sold the start-up to the British company CommAgility in 2015.

From 2016 to 2019, Rene Kantehm was the CFO at Wagner Group, where he expands the areas of finance, controlling and IT infrastructure for the entire group. Since 2019, he is CFO at VMRay in Bochum, an international software company, focused on cybersecurity.

Rene studied business administration, is a certified credit analyst and an MBA holder with the main focus on controlling and financing.

He is also founder of Duermeister Individual (2015, Luxury watches) and Unternehmerfreunde (2018, advisory board service).
