Prior to launching PeerTrader, Mike worked as a trading technology consultant, assisting various banks, brokerages, and exchanges with custom implementations of the FIX (Financial Information eXchange) Protocol.

Mike also spent time as a quant/trader for a managed futures fund, where he authored trade execution algorithms and supervised daily automated trading operations. Mike earned a B.A. in Statistics, Mathematics, and Economics from Northwestern University, and he specializes in machine learning and predictive statistical modeling. He has seven years of experience trading equities, options, futures, and most recently, peer-to-peer debt.
