Max has spent his adult life building scalable popular Web sites, with the likes of Sam, Chris, Christian, and the awesome team at OkCupid. He was a founder at SparkNotes and TheSpark, and also at OkCupid.com, where he's been working on infrastructure build-outs to keep the site running smoothly.

He wrote the OK Web Server (OKWS) that OkCupid uses, as well as the Tame system for management of asynchronous events.

Max graduated summa cum laude from Harvard College with a degree in Computer Science and Mathematics, and has a PhD from MIT in Computer Science.
