Gerson A. Zweifach is Group General Counsel of News Corp. Mr. Zweifach is also a member of the Office of the Chairman of News Corp.

As Group General Counsel, Mr. Zweifach oversees global legal operations including litigation, mergers and acquisitions, ethics and corporate governance matters.

Mr. Zweifach previously held the position of partner at Williams & Connolly LLP. In his more than three decades at Williams & Connolly, Mr. Zweifach’s litigation practice covered a wide variety of substantive areas including media and first amendment cases, as well as patent, anti-trust and securities matters. He has handled a number of high profile cases as both plaintiff’s and defendant’s counsel in courts throughout the U.S., including representing Richard A. Grasso in Spitzer v. Grasso in the New York state courts.

Mr. Zweifach is a graduate of Brown University, where he graduated magna cum laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and Yale Law School, where he was Note Editor for the Law Journal. He was a law clerk to Judge Pierre N. Leval and Judge David L. Bazelon.

He is a member of the District of Columbia and New York Bars.

Mr. Zweifach is married to Jacqueline Zins and has two children.
