Zak Cole is a Web3 developer, protocol engineer, and software entrepreneur currently operating in the DeFi space. He received his training as a cyber network engineer in the United States Marine Corps. In Iraq's Al Anbar province during Operation Iraqi Freedom 07-08, he and his unit were responsible for building mission-critical data infrastructure and managing the implementation and distribution of cryptographic assets.

After retiring from the Marine Corps, Zak worked as a web developer, network engineer, and applied cryptographer. He also built several companies spanning the fields of ad tech, web hosting, and cyber security prior to delving into the Web3 space with a focus on decentralized financial technology.
