He focuses on investment in TMT sector and has extensive experience in helping early to growth stage companies develop their business.
Xiang's investments include Huya (NYSE: HUYA), Tudou (acquired by Youku as a NASDAQ listed company), 91 Assistant (acquired by Baidu), Sungy (NASDAQ: GOMO), Dovo (acquired by Ourpalm), Lifesense (300562.SZ), Wondershare (300624.SZ), EJOY (acquired by Alibaba), BIGO LIVE (acquired by YY), Lilith Games, DotC and Boss Zhipin, etc.
He was elected as "China's TOP 10 Investors of the Year" by The Founder, "China's Best VC Investors" by Forbes China and "China's TOP 10 Investors in WeChat Ecosystem" by 36Kr in 2018; "The Most Popular Founding Partners of the Year" in 2016-18 consecutively by China FOFs Alliance.
Prior to founding Gaorong, Xiang was a partner and a member of the investment committee at IDG Capital Partners. Xiang Gao received his bachelor and master's degree in Economics from HUST in 2002. Xiang also received his EMBA degree from CEIBS in 2012.nce and Technology.
