Waldemar Szlezak currently serves as a Managing Director in the private equity group of Soros Fund Management LLC (“SFM”).

Prior to joining SFM, he worked at Soros Private Equity Investors and prior to that, in the Mergers & Acquisition Investment Banking group at Credit Suisse First Boston in New York.

Mr. Szlezak currently serves on the board of directors of Guinness Peat Group plc, Coats plc, Hyperoptic Ltd, TowerCo 2013 LLC, Helios Towers Africa Ltd, ExteNet Systems Inc., Quattro Consultoria em Telecomunicacoes Ltda, and GSRP LLC.

He earned his B.S. in Industrial Engineering & Operations Research from Columbia University in New York, NY and his B.A. in Mathematics from Knox College in Galesburg, IL.
