As Corporate Vice President of Azure Global, Keane leads a worldwide engineering team dedicated to building Microsoft’s Azure cloud computing platform to enable adoption by every country, every industry, and every customer in the world.


His organization is responsible for Azure’s Global Infrastructure, including designing and launching future Azure data center regions, expanding global coverage and Microsoft’s hub, hero, service ring and availability zone infrastructure spanning over 1GW of capacity in 200 datacenters in 54 regions and 19 countries. Keane is responsible for Azure’s Cyber Sovereignty engineering, including privacy, compliance, data residency and security and works frequently with global governments and regulators enabling Azure to be the industry leader in this critical area.
