Stephen Bowey leads LeapFrog’s global communications and external relations, as well as advising portfolio companies in diverse domains of financial services. He has 25 years of experience in strategy, marketing and communications across asset management, insurance, wealth management and private equity. Previously, he was the Executive Director for corporate development and communications at Invest AD, an Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund; a Partner and Marketing Director for College Hill in London; and spent 17 years at Old Mutual, a FTSE100 company, serving in various roles, including Chief Communications Officer in South Africa and Advisor to the Chairman. Stephen has advised chairmen, CEOs and senior management in diverse corporate situations, including demutualisation, IPOs, merger, rebranding, company and product launches, downsizing, corporate crises and personal profiling. Stephen has also supported portfolio companies on or below the Board in various industries including telecommunications, logistics, leasing and aviation. He started his career in publishing, printing and market research. Stephen holds an MBA, BA, and HDipEd from the University of Cape Town.
