Søren Peter Nielsen is the Head of Product at MakerDAO, which is a decentralized organization dedicated to bringing stability and transparency to the crypto economy.

Søren is recognized for his strengths in analytics, data, trading calculation, accelerated technical related delivery and granular related expertise. In his role, he is responsible for leading the product engineering, infrastructure and operations, information security, R&D and product innovation and is focused on all MakerDAO´s product platforms, big data analytics and agile development of the system that creates Dai, the world’s first decentralized stablecoin on the Ethereum blockchain. Dai is a collateral-backed currency token whose value is kept predictable relative to the US Dollar through a series of complementary financial incentives.
Søren has extensive experience in advisory, operational roles and in leading architectural solutions for technological enterprises. He joined MakerDAO in 2018 from IoT-systems where he was Chief Software Architect leading development teams and creating solutions architectures. Søren holds a MSc, Chemical Engineering and has authored several information technology publications.
