Simon re-joined the IP Group life sciences team in 2012 with a wide background in technology investment and commercialisation across the healthcare sector. Simon has a PhD in Biomedical Engineering and degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Chemistry, and is a Chartered Engineer.

Simon joined IP Group from Ceramex Ltd, a corporate spin-out of the Hexadex Group in the heavy duty automotive sector where his role as Operations Director covered all operational, product development and R&D aspects of the business. Previous he was at IP Group, responsible for investments in medical technology businesses, and subsequently joined the regenerative medicine company, Tissue Regenix Group, one of his investee companies, as Commercial Director.
