Simon Gibson is a Fellow, Security Architect at Gigamon. Simon is responsible for internal security as the CISO, developing the ecosystem that leverages the Gigamon fabric, driving next generation capabilities into the product and outreach with the research community.
Prior to joining Gigamon, Simon was the CISO at Bloomberg LP. in New York. Simon managed an attack team, the product security group and an incident response team. He worked across all of the Bloomberg business lines including R&D, Trading Systems, News, Core Terminal and Data. Before joining Bloomberg Simon was a systems architect at Verisign and worked on .COM/.NET RRP and core DNS. Simon is from San Francisco and worked at Winamp/Shoutcast for AOL during the SF web 1.0 days and before moving to the east coast. He developed hardware streaming services at AOL and continually found ways to improve the service.
