Michael T. Johnson, an experienced venture capitalist and a specialized transactions attorney, joined Advantage Capital Partners in 1998. He is primarily involved in structuring the firm’s capital-raising transactions, regulatory compliance and government relations. Michael Johnson plays an integral role in the firm’s efforts under the New Markets Tax Credit Program, including sourcing debt and equity transactions and providing oversight. He also assists in investment analysis and portfolio monitoring.

Previously associated with New Orleans’ largest law firm, Jones, Walker, Waechter, Poitevent, Carrère & Denègre, Michael Johnson practiced securities and corporate law for a broad range of clients.

An honors graduate of Stanford University School of Law, Michael Johnson was a member of the Order of the Coif, the most prestigious national legal honor society. He earned an A.B. degree from Harvard College, graduating cum laude.
