Garvin brings nearly 30 years of procurement, operations and supply chain management experience to Juniper Networks. Recently, he spent 11 years at Dell, first as vice president of global procurement and then as senior vice president and chief procurement officer.

Garvin also managed all outsourced manufacturing through ODM and EMS providers and was accountable for cost, quality, capacity planning and fulfillment. Before Dell, he held leadership positions at NetEdge Systems, Logitech, Sun Microsystems and Hewlett-Packard.

Garvin earned an MBA and a bachelor's degree in biological sciences from San Jose State University.
