Mariella Palacios is a Senior Advisor in the Inclusion and Diversity team within Human Resources at Zebra Technologies. She is focused on increasing diversity at all levels. She manages the Strategic Partner relationships and is involved in implementing skills based recruitment practices. Additionally, she is supporting development efforts aimed at increasing diversity in succession plans over time. She also serves on the Inclusion Network, “VETZ” Steering Committee as a Co-Lead.

Prior, she was Senior Talent Acquisition Consultant in the Center for Diversity & Inclusion area of Human Resources at HCSC/Blue Cross Blue Shield. There she led the build out of diverse candidate pipelines, managed strategic partnerships and evolved data to show ROI. She also worked at DePaul University, in the Office of Human Resources as Diversity & Sourcing Consultant, where she was driving key DEI and talent strategies. She has been a professional in Human Resources for over 15 years. While in Talent Acquisition, she led technical recruitment and sourcing efforts. She founded and launched the Military Employee Resource Group in May 2015 at DePaul and was also the Staff Co-Chair for the Latino Employee Resource Group. While at DePaul, she received the “Woman of Spirit and Action” award for her contributions to an inclusive culture and development of early career staff.
