Sengupta is Managing Director, Global Markets Group, Bank of America India. He heads the Global Markets Foreign Exchange and Interest Rates Derivatives business for Bank of America in India.Sengupta started his career with Bank of America in foreign exchange and derivatives trading and then moved to sales and marketing.

Sengupta was part of the Working Group on Introduction of Credit Derivatives in India, constituted by Reserve Bank of India.

Joydeep is an alumnus of IIM, Ahmedabad. Prior to that he has completed his Chartered Accountancy (Articled at Price Waterhouse), Cost Accountancy and Commerce Graduation from Kolkata University.
