Prior to co-founding Small Door, Josh led a successful with diverse experiences that included management roles at a number of significant technology companies and roles in
both investment banking and venture capital.

From 2013 – 2017, Josh worked as a Partner on the early stage investing team at Softbank Capital, a $500 million venture capital arm of Softbank Corporation. While at Softbank,
Josh led early stage investments in software businesses with a focus on healthcare and real estate. Before Softbank, Josh served as Senior Vice President at Outbrain, the leading content marketing platform, where he oversaw growth of the business from 50 to 250 worldwide employees in a three-year timespan. Previously, in 2007, Josh joined the early team at Sphere and helped grow the business to their eventual acquisition by Aol in 2008. Post-acquisition, Josh led the business as CEO for two years, ultimately initiating its divestiture and sale to Outbrain in early 2011. Josh began his career in investment banking at Robertson Stephens & Co in San Francisco where he participated on more than $400 million of private equity and debt financings from 1998 – 2002.

Josh earned an AB from Duke University and an MBA from Columbia University. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife, two daughters, and boxer, Morrison.
