Jonas Boström is a drug hunter and principal scientist at AstraZeneca, Sweden. He obtained a M.S. in Chemistry at the University of Gothenburg in 1996 and a Ph.D. in Computational Medicinal Chemistry in 2000 at the Royal Danish School of Pharmacy, Copenhagen, Denmark. Jonas has acquired knowledge of most phases and aspects of drug discovery from his +15 years in the pharmaceutical industry. Research interest includes combining new technology, informatics, and science in innovative way covering a diverse range; from analysis of past and present synthetic methods to the development of new virtual reality platforms. Jonas is also CEO and co-founder of EduChem VR; a start-up gamifying chemistry educations using virtual reality.
