Jon Gaskell co-founded SmartyPig. Mr. Gaskell is responsible for business development, international research, and maintaining relationships with financial partners.

He also works with public relations firms both in the U.S. and abroad, acting as the main press contact. Mr. Gaskell is an accomplished journalist and entrepreneur, whose experience includes the formation of a publishing company sold to a group of investors led by the former president of NBC News. Mr. Gaskell has significant experience in the media industry and is a published author.

Mr. Gaskell earned an M.A. in media studies and journalism from Drake University and a B.A. in English from Lake Forest College.
