Ilyas Khan is the founder of Cambridge Quantum Computing. Following the merger of Cambridge Quantum with Honeywell Quantum Solutions in December 2021, which created Quantinuum, Ilyas is the CEO of Quantinuum. Honeywell is the largest shareholder of Quantinuum at 54% and Ilyas is the next largest shareholder with a holding of over 20%. Other shareholders include IBM and Japanese speciality materials and semiconductor company JSR Corp.


Ilyas was the founding Chairman of The Stephen Hawking Foundation, and is the Leader in Residence at the University of Cambridge's Judge Business School where he is also a Fellow in Management Practice. He is also a Fellow of St Edmund's College Cambridge.


He was instrumental in backing the Judge Business School's highly regarded business accelerator programme.
