Henrik Ravn is the president and CEO of Discovery Nordic and SBS Discovery Media, which includes more than 20 entertainment brands in television, radio and digital services.

Ravn joined SBS Media in Denmark 10 years ago and in 2013, was named President of SBS Discovery Media.

Under Ravn’s leadership, SBS Media became one of the last decade's biggest media successes in both Denmark and Scandinavia.

Ravn has a Master from Aarhus School of Business in Denmark.

In 1990 he began his media career at the Danish Public Service televison station, TV 2, in the Programme department.

After four years at TV 2 he was appointed Head of Programme at the Swedish media group TV3, where he was behind the great success, The Robinson Expedition.

Afterwards he worked as Head of Programme at the largest Danish TV distributor, TDC, for a brief period, before returning to TV 2 Denmark for the job as Program Planning Manager.

Ravn resides in Denmark but is working from Discovery Networks Western Europe’s headquarter office in London.
