Gary Little is a Partner at Canvas since September 2013 and led the firm’s investment in Totango. Based in Menlo Park, Gary focuses on innovative software and services investments.
Twice in the past five years, Gary has been named to the Forbes Midas List which seeks to identify the venture capitalists that were instrumental in creating the most impactful and valuable companies of tomorrow.
Gary joined Morgenthaler Ventures in 1997 and continues to serve on the boards Morgenthaler portfolio companies including Adara, Evernote, MuleSoft, and PeopleMatter.
Gary also led the investment in Wize Commerce (previously NexTag). Gary serves, or served, as a board observer of Lending Club, Practice Fusion and Sonatype.
Previously, Gary held several roles at Apple Computer, including Senior Vice President of Apple’s Power Macintosh Division, Vice President of Sales Americas and Senior Director of Marketing for Apple’s Pacific Division (China, Japan, Asia, Latin America, Canada).
Prior to his time at Apple, Gary spent seven years at Sun Microsystems as Director of Product Marketing, Director of Asia Pacific Marketing (including a posting in Hong Kong), and as Group Manager of Industry Marketing.
Before Sun Microsystems, Gary held sales and marketing positions at IBM.
Gary began his career as an IC design Engineer for TRW’s microelectronics research labs.
Gary earned an MBA from Harvard University and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.
