He is also a board member of of [Moviri](https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/moviri#/entity), a technology company that helps IT organizations to manage their infrastructure. Prior to Moviri, he was the chief technology officer of performance and availability at [BMC Software](https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/bmc-software#/entity).

Violante holds a Master’s degree in computer engineering and a PhD in computer science, computer performance, and HCI from Politecnico di Milano.
