Dr. Pakianathan has served as a member of our board of directors since April 2013.

Since 2001, Dr. Pakianathan has been a Managing Member at Delphi Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on medical device and biotechnology investments, and leads the firm’s biotechnology investment activities.

From 1998 to 2001, Dr. Pakianathan was a senior biotechnology banker at JPMorgan, a global investment bank. Since 2004, Dr. Pakianathan has served on the board of directors of Alexza Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a public biopharmaceutical company, where she serves as a member of its compensation and nominating and governance committees.

Since 2007,Dr. Pakianathan has served on the board of directors of Alder Biopharmaceuticals, Inc., a private biopharmaeutical company, where she serves as a member of its nominating and governance committee, and has served on the board of directors of NeurAxon, Inc., a private biopharmaceutical company, where she serves as a member of its compensation committee.

Since 2008, Dr. Pakianathan has served on the board of directors of OncoMed Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a public biopharmaceutical company, where she serves as chair of its audit committee.

From 2009 to March 2013, Dr. Pakianathan served on the board of directors of PTC Therapeutics, Inc., a public biopharmaceutical company.

Dr. Pakianathan received a B.Sc. from the University of Bombay, India, a M.Sc. from The Cancer Research Institute at the University of Bombay, India, and an M.S. and Ph.D. from Wake Forest University.
