David Olson has started companies, raised money, scaled companies, and sold companies. He has worked for some of the largest firms and some small firms. For professional management consulting firms, software companies, energy companies, and logistics and transportation companies.

David has many years of experience in Professional Services Management Consulting. Primarily in the Chemicals & Petroleum industries. He has developed extensive leadership and management expertise in Business Systems Solutions and Business Process Improvements as well as Operations Management, and Strategic Planning.

David has served in C-level roles helping a number of firms’ scale. David has been hired by investors to develop corporate strategies, lead day-today operations, and grow five different corporations to exponential growth. David previously was a Vice President and Partner at WIPRO, Leading Global Strategy, Digital Transformation and Alliances. Prior to Wipro, David served as Chief Operating Officer for Ceremity, a boutique technology consulting firm where he drove over 400% growth in less than 18 months (led to successful exit), President of EquusNox, a startup provider of analytics and insights into the challenges of executing logistics, transactions, and pricing in the petroleum downstream driving revenues from 0 to $40MM in a year’s time, and President of Qv21 Technologies, a startup provider of integrated digital solutions for oil field operations where he was instrumental in the series A funding round.

David was a Partner with IBM where he was selected to develop and run IBM’s Global Chemicals & Petroleum business and IBM’s Global Center of Competence. David was also the Industry Leader for IBM’s Chemicals & Petroleum Application Innovation Services (AIS) sector. David worked with leaders of many countries and industries on six continents to optimize business performance and security.

He was selected for membership in IBM’s Industry Academy – a prestigious honor in an elite group of industry experts helping to advance IBM’s industry agenda with extensive credibility and influence among IBM’s clients and industry peers.

He was selected for IBM’s Executive Cornerstone Leadership Program as well as being an IBM Equity Award winner, IBM Eminence & Excellence Award winner, and IBM Service Excellence Award winner.

He also was selected for the Executive Council on Intelligent Energy for the Society of Petroleum Engineers focusing on oil & gas development across the Middle East.

Prior to IBM he was the Vice President of Global Business Solutions for FuelQuest, a startup provider of on-demand supply chain management and tax automation solutions to the global energy sector (led to successful exit). David held director positions in the eBusiness practice of Deloitte & Touche, and the Strategic Services practice of KPMG, as well as being the Directing Principle of Oracle Corporation’s, Global Center of Excellence where he managed Oracle’s Global Energy Practice. David also provided his expertise to many clients in the Natural Gas Trading/Risk Management, Marketing and Transportation sectors through the company he founded, WEDCO Consulting and Altra Energy Technologies, prior to beginning his career building flight systems for NASA.

David chairs the advisory board at the McCoy School of Business at Texas State University and is a member of the University Advancement leadership team.
