As Chief Human Resources Officer, Colon McLean is responsible for leading Alight Solutions’ global people strategy including enhancing and reinforcing its values-based culture, and attracting, retaining and developing its people.

An experienced human resources executive with over 30 years of HR leadership experience in financial services, energy and higher education, Colon is known as a transformational HR leader focused on aligning performance and processes with business objectives to drive results. In his past roles, he has designed and implemented global compensation, incentives and talent retention programs among other notable achievements.

Most recently, Colon served as CHRO of The Warranty Group, where he led a variety of restructuring events. Before joining The Warranty Group, Colon was CHRO at Career Education Corporation where he focused on streamlining the HR service delivery model, developed a leadership competency model and implemented a company-wide talent review and succession planning process. Colon began his career with Duke Energy Corporation and held a variety of positions over his 22-year career at the organization including co-head of human resources.

Colon is a former member of the board of directors and past chairman of the HR Management Association of Chicago.

He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wingate University, Wingate, N.C and a Master of Business Administration from Wake Forest University.
