Amos Genish was recently appointed as President and CEO of Telefonica Brasil, the largest and most profitable telecom operator in Brazil. Up to 2015, he was CEO of GVT, an innovative and fast-growing telecom and Pay TV operator, which was recently acquired by Telefonica.
Amos co-founded GVT as an alternative regional telecom operator in 1999 and led its expansion in the following years, reaching revenues above US$ 2 Billion by 2014. In 2007, Amos led GVT’s IPO in the Brazilian stock exchange; in 2009, he led the company’s sale to Vivendi, for US$ 4,8 Billion. In 2014, he led the negotiations of GVT’s sale to Telefonica, for more than US$ 9 Billion. Prior to GVT, Amos was CEO of a technology company traded on Nasdaq.
He holds a B.A. in Economics and Accounting from Tel Aviv University.
