Ammiel joined Kontera in 2009 and is responsible for linking Kontera’s product efforts to market. He leads the company’s Product, marketing and design functions, and drove the company's aggressive expansions into marketing analytics and mobile monetization.

Ammiel brings 19 years of product, marketing, and technology leadership experience. Prior to Kontera he spent5 years as SVP of Products and Marketing at Emptoris, an Enterprise SaaS company (acquired by IBM), where he led product portfolio growth resulting in more than $50MM in revenues and attained clear market leader status (Gartner MQ, 2008).

Earlier in his career Ammiel served as Vice President and business unit general manager at Netscape, where he was an early employee, envisioned and led several of the internet’s first ecommerce products, led product and marketing teams, and served as Director of Technology in the CTO’s office. Prior to Netscape Ammiel held technical and consulting leadership positions at Oracle. He holds a BS in Computer Science and Business from Carnegie Mellon University and is co-inventor of 2 patents.

Ammiel is Kontera’s largest angel investor, worked closely with the founding team and served on the company’s board of directors during Kontera’s formative years.
