Alex Tran is an associate at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. He joined the firm in 2012 and focuses on investments in the Digital Growth Fund.

Previously, Alex was an investment banking analyst in the Financial Sponsors Group at Morgan Stanley, where he worked on a variety of financing and advisory assignments across industries and sectors for the firm’s Private Equity clients. Alex has also worked in the Technology Mergers and Acquisitions groups at Morgan Stanley and Houlihan Lokey and has conducted molecular epidemiology research on the prenatal origin of the TEL-AML1 translocation in Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at the University of California, San Francisco.

Alex graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Management Science & Engineering.
