Excelle Sports is the brainchild of three women who are lifelong passionate, competitive athletes and sports fans. When the initial idea of “covering women’s sports” came up they assumed there were already many sites doing that, but, to our shock, there was almost nothing out there. The few sites that existed were either primarily covering the big sports, were focused on one sport, or were in the UK. They realized that they could be the first ones to cover a vast range of women’s sports year round, not just during the Olympics or World Cup. They know that thousands of amazing athletes are training, competing and making history throughout the year, and their stories are endless and amazing.
